WHS and compliance for independent schools, from ELC to Year 12.
Excursions, student incidents, staff and volunteer screening, contractors on campus, science chemicals and accreditation evidence in one system that takes work off teachers instead of adding to it.
Where QHSE gets hard for independent schools.
Excursions every week
Dozens of excursion, incursion and camp risk assessments a term, each needing review, approval and a plan for the day.
Student incidents
Injuries, first aid and illness recorded consistently, with the right people told and patterns visible across campuses.
Child safety and screening
Blue cards for staff, volunteers and contractors, the 10 Child Safe Standards and the Universal Principle from 1 January 2026, and the Reportable Conduct Scheme from 1 July 2026.
Works, maintenance and projects
Broken things reported and fixed, minor works and capital projects planned around the school calendar, and contractors checked before they work beside students.
Labs and maintenance chemicals
Science, art, cleaning and grounds chemicals with current SDS, safe storage and training.
Accreditation evidence
NSSAB and WHS evidence that is current when it is asked for, not assembled the week before.
Built for both sides of a school.
Compliance staff need the right information in front of them without chasing it. Teachers need to get a risk assessment or a training session right without being risk experts. MiSAFE QHSE takes the admin off both.
For your WHS and compliance team
- What needs attention is in front of you: new incidents, assessments waiting for review, overdue training and expiring blue cards
- An alert on every new incident, with its level and a summary, so nothing waits for someone to notice
- Reviews, not rewrites: excursion and activity assessments arrive drafted with specific controls, ready to check and approve
- Registers that fill themselves from SDS, plant manuals, invoices and approved documents, instead of retyping
- Training packs drafted for you, assigned by rule and booked on the training calendar without building them from scratch
- Child safety readiness worked out live from your records, with what to fix first and the Reportable Conduct timeframes in view
- Maintenance requests and projects in one place, with term-time work flagged and contractors checked before they start
- The QHSE Activity Calendar: every inspection, drill, service, review and renewal for the year, planned by term, reminded and recorded
- Dashboards, heat maps and readiness reports for decisions that reduce risk across every campus
For teachers and staff
- Start from approved venues, activities and controls, never a blank page
- The system asks a few plain questions about who, what, where, when and why, then drafts the risk assessment
- Vague controls are caught and explained before the assessment is sent, so it comes back right the first time
- Report an incident or hazard in their own words on a phone, and the form fills itself
- Report something broken from the Help desk on the app home, and see when it is fixed
- Inductions and training coach them through every wrong answer until they understand why

See how it worksComplaints handled the way the Child Safe Standards expect.
Parents, students, staff and the community can raise feedback or a complaint the way that suits them. Each one is logged, acknowledged and followed through to a recorded outcome, and the serious ones reach the principal straight away.
Four ways in
Your complaints email address, a form linked from your website, a call or visit logged by a staff member, and staff themselves on the web or in the app.
A reference number for every complaint
Anyone who gives a name and email gets a reference number and a private link to see where it is up to, add information or ask for a review.
Serious complaints escalated
Harm to a child, an injury, bullying or discrimination, or a legal or regulator matter is flagged serious. The principal or director is told straight away and reviews it within 24 hours.
Nothing closes early
A serious complaint cannot close until the child safety report, the regulator notice where it applies and every action to stop it happening again are done.
Related complaints found
Complaints from the same person, about the same student or in the same category and campus are shown as possibly related, to link or rule out.
Kept to the right people
Child safety matters are seen only by the people who handle them. Every step is in the audit trail, and no AI is used anywhere in complaints.
Your compliance, monitored live and ready for the auditor.
Accreditation evidence does not get built the week before the panel arrives. MiSAFE QHSE checks your policies, registers and records against the NSSAB accreditation requirements, the Child Safe Standards and the other standards you choose, as your staff work, so your compliance team always knows where the school stands.
Set up
Your organisation, sites and the documents you already have, brought in five at a time.
Analyse
How your documented systems meet every requirement, with a compliance check that is always on.
Fix
Check the work already prepared for each gap, then approve it.
Report
Readiness reports on your letterhead, and auditor checklists answered in their own format.
Improve
An improvement plan, reviews and a watch on changes to the law.
A cycle, not a one-off: improvements, reviews and changes to the law feed back into Analyse. A documented system counts as in place when its document is approved, covers every campus or site it applies to and is not past its review.
Readiness shows how prepared you are. Accreditation and certification decisions rest with the accrediting body or certification body.
What we build your system to.
What the law and standards ask of independent schools, in plain words, and what MiSAFE QHSE does to help you meet each one. Every form, register and document is referenced to them.
Keep staff, students and visitors safe, and make sure the school’s leaders check that safety is working
How MiSAFE helps. Incidents, risks, inspections and actions sit in one place, and board reports give officers the evidence of their due diligence.
Find and control the risks of excursions, works and facilities, and review the controls
How MiSAFE helps. Risk assessments start from your approved Risk Library, are approved before the activity and are reviewed when anything changes.
Make sure everyone in child-related work holds a current blue card
How MiSAFE helps. Blue cards are recorded for staff, volunteers and contractors, and expiring cards are flagged before they lapse.
Meet the 10 Child Safe Standards and the Universal Principle from 1 January 2026, and the Reportable Conduct Scheme from 1 July 2026
How MiSAFE helps. Child safety readiness shows a live light for every standard, with the fix prepared for any gap.
Respond to complaints and concerns in a way that is child focused
How MiSAFE helps. Complaints come in by email, a form on your website, a call or visit, or the app, each with a reference number. Serious ones go to the principal straight away and cannot close until the reports and actions are done.
Meet the accreditation criteria set by the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board
How MiSAFE helps. Every criterion is mapped to the policies and records that meet it, ready for the Compliance Review.
Make sure teachers are registered; registration covers their child-related work in the school
How MiSAFE helps. Each teacher’s registration is recorded with them and checked before they start.
Manage construction work on campus, including SWMS for high risk work and a WHS management plan for projects of $250,000 or more
How MiSAFE helps. Works run as projects with contractor checks, SWMS and a management plan built from the project’s own records.
Manage chemicals in laboratories and asbestos in older buildings
How MiSAFE helps. Chemical and asbestos registers are kept for each campus, and SDS currency is watched for you.
