Performance appraisals and management

Reviews that happen on time, and concerns handled fairly.

Run the review cycle your organisation chooses: goal setting, check-ins, mid-year and annual. Each person rates themselves on the standard items and the KPIs from their own job description on their phone before the meeting, the reviewer records the meeting, the notes become a drafted report, and the person reads and acknowledges it in their own words. When performance falls short, the concern, each meeting, any warning and the outcome are kept as a confidential case, kept apart from reviews, so the process is fair and the record holds up.

How it works

From job description to review, development and a fair process.

1

Self-assess

Each review carries the standard items and the KPIs from the person’s approved job description. They rate themselves and say what they want to raise, on their phone, before the meeting.

2

Meet and report

The reviewer rates each item, records the meeting (with the person’s say on whether it is recorded) and the notes, goals and actions are drafted into the report. Nothing is invented.

3

Acknowledge and develop

The person reads the report and acknowledges it with their comment kept word for word. Development actions go straight onto the Training and Induction Register, and the next stage is scheduled.

4

Manage concerns

Performance concerns, warnings and grievances are recorded as confidential cases with each meeting, the support plan and the outcome, seen only by administrators and the case owner, never on a review.
