The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has confirmed a provisional publication date of 27 November for the Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) of ISO 45001.

Publication of ISO 45001 is likely to be in early 2018.
OHSAS 18001 and AS/NZS 4801 are likely to be withdrawn on publication of ISO 45001 and organisations currently certified to OHSAS 18001 and AS/NZS 4801 will have a grace period to migrate to ISO 45001.
It is important to note that the process for ISO 45001 differs from other standards as this is the first international OHS standard. Therefore, it is not a transition from OHSAS 18001 or AS/NZ 4801.
